Establish a Peer Program

This dynamic training is for all BEGINNERS in peer counseling program development. Learn about program start-up, program implementation, and program maintenance. Learn how to apply SPCP Standards and Ethics. Peer counseling program training includes components such as: one-on-one helping, suicide prevention, bullying prevention, mental health signs and symptoms, mentoring, mediation, meditation, and leadership. Peer counselors are trained to confidentially listen to their classmates, and participate in school/community service projects. The program is tailored to the needs of each school. This program assists schools with upholding Ed Code Section 215, AB 2246, & CA Senate Bill 224 Article 6.
